How do I measure for a new countertop?
See our measurement guide here.

How long does the process take?
From the template process to the install it takes about 5-8 business days. The templating process typically takes about a half hour depending on the size of the project. On the day of installation we install your countertops in a few hours with scheduled appointments in the morning or afternoon.

What do I need to do to get started?
We will need a layout of your project in order to give you pricing. You can draw a sketch of the area and include as many dimensions as you can, also indicating which areas are against a wall, or if you have a cabinet layout that works as well. Please email, fax, or stop in to our showroom to give us your measurements. We will have a granite estimate to you within 24 hours via email/fax, or the same day if you come in to our showroom.

Do I need to remove my old countertops prior to template?
No, we use a laser templating process so we are able to measure while your existing countertops are still in place.

What do I need to do before you come to template?
We ask that you please clear your countertops off completely so they are free from any clutter. We are unable to use the laser if there is anything on the countertops.

How do my existing countertops get removed before installation?
If would like us to, Ancient Art Stone can remove your old countertops the same day we come to install your new ones at an additional cost.

Do I get to choose my actual slab of granite that will be used?
Yes, we have over 500 slabs of granite onsite for you to choose from, so you will be able to choose the exact piece we will use for your countertop. You are also offered the option of template placement, allowing you to choose the placement of the template on the stone before we fabricate your project.

What do the free sinks look like?
The free sinks that we offer are 18 gauge stainless steel. We have 9 models to choose from that range from kitchen to bar sinks. Please visit our showroom and a salesperson can show you the free options.

Is there any warranty associated with the countertops?
Being natural stone, we cannot warranty your granite/marble/quartzite countertops. However, we do warranty our workmanship. Ancient Art Stone will always stand behind the projects that we do, so if you have a problem please do not hesitate to give us a call and we will be more than happy to assist you and fix the problem as best we can. If you are interested in man-made quartz products, we have several quartz companies that we work with, and each company has their own limited lifetime warranty.

Do I have to re-seal my new granite countertops periodically?
We recommend resealing your countertops once a year to prevent staining. We will leave you with a bottle of sealer at the time of install as well, it should last you a few years. Simply spray on the sealer, leave it on for about 15 minutes and wipe it dry. You can seal your countertops more than once a year if you would like to for extra protection. If you notice water marks near your sink/common workplace areas, that means its time to reseal!

How do I clean my new countertop?
We supply you with a bottle of countertop cleaner for you on the day of installation, and we also sell additional bottles at our showroom for when you run out. The granite cleaner that we use can be used every day for optimal cleaning, just spray it on and wipe it dry! Soap and water as well as all purpose cleaner are also great options for cleaning your granite.

If my kitchen is currently being remodeled how can I give you the measurements?
Your kitchen cabinet layout and/or blueprint can be used for an estimate. If you do not have one, your contractor should be able to provide us with one. Please bring it to the showroom with you when you come to visit or include it in your fax/email.

If I am using a building contractor for my remodeling project does the contractor need to be involved in the process?
Yes, we will send all pricing to your contractor. We typically do all scheduling with the contractor as they are usually the one meeting us on the job site. However, your contractor does not have to be involved in the stone selection process unless you would like them to.

Do you offer other stones other than granite?
In addition to granite, we have marble and quartzite (granite-marble hybrid). We also offer quartz which is a man-made, non-porous material.
