See to it that you get high-quality countertops by dealing with Ancient Art Stone in Milford, DE. We are trusted by countless customers throughout the Delmarva Peninsula because we use nothing less than the best materials available on the market. Read on for further details regarding the broad range of materials we work with.

Granite

Granite is one of the most durable surfaces you can use. The characteristics of granite range from consistent tight grains to wild veins. There are hundreds of different color combinations, and every slab cut is as unique as each of our fingerprints (no two slabs are identical).

Quartz

Quartz countertops are made with crushed quartz and mixed with resin in a ratio of 93% quartz to 7% resin (this is an average). They are manufactured in a variety of different patterns and colors.

Marble

Marble is very susceptible to scratches and staining as it is more porous than granite and very soft compared to other types of natural stone. It is appreciated for the elegant, “soft” veining characteristics commonly referred to as “marbling.” Use caution when working on this surface.

Soapstone

Soapstone is a nonporous, stain-resistant material that can be a great option for a durable countertop. With the positives of soapstone, there also come some negatives. It is soft and pliable, therefore highly susceptible to scratches and indentations, and will show with regular use. Refinishing, however, is as easy as sanding out the damaged area.

Quartzite

Quartzite is a very hard metamorphic rock that originated as sandstone. Through a process of high heating and pressurization, sandstone is transformed into Quartzite, an extremely strong and durable natural stone.
